THE LIBRARY NOW provides access to over 60 titles about inclusive teaching and learning on Library OneSearch.
The collection is described as follows:
The Jessica Kingsley Inclusive Teaching and Learning collection helps educators, administrators, and other school leaders bring inclusivity, social justice, and trauma-informed practices into the classroom and school, as well as the individual learning process. Written by experts in their fields, these titles provide pedagogical and practical support addressing topics such as emotionally-based school avoidance, self-confidence and communication skill-building, relationship and sex education, and whole-school approaches to inclusivity and mental health.
Selected new titles include:
- Sensory stories to support additional needs: making narratives accessible through the senses by Joanna Grace
- Applying dynamic assessment in schools: a practical approach to improve learning by Fraser Lauchlan and Clare Daly
- Supporting positive behaviour in intellectual disabilities and autism: practical strategies for addressing challenging behaviour by Tony Osgood
- For flourishing’s sake: using positive education to support character development and well-being by Frederika Roberts
