Withdrawn platforms: CSA Illumina, Chadwyck-Healey and (legacy) ProQuest

As previously advised access to the CSA Illumina, Chadwyck-Healey and (legacy) ProQuest platforms ends tomorrow (21 August 2012).

All of LLR’s subscription resources that could be moved to the new ProQuest platform were migrated at the start of the year, but from tomorrow any library customers who had bookmarked access to these withdrawn platforms will no longer be able to access them, and will be directed to the new ProQuest interface.

Three of LLR’s subscription resources will continue to be made available on one of the Chadwyck-Healey platforms not yet configured for migration:

  1. MLA International Bibliography
  2. LION (Literature Online)
  3. ABELL (Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature)

These resources will be migrated to the new platform as soon as ProQuest has finished the necessary configuration work.

New resource: UK Press Online

The UK Press Online service is now available in Library OneSearch. LLR’s subscription to content on the UK Press Online platform comprises full-text access to the archives of the Daily Mirror, Daily Express and Sunday Express. Access is direct on-campus and by university username and password from off-campus. The resource is described as follows:

UK Press Online provides access to the full-text archives of the Daily Mirror (1903-present), Daily Express (1900-present) and Sunday Express (2000-present). Every page is available in thumbnail, small preview, full-size view and ready-to-print PDF with live text, and page-by-page browse of editions.

Access to each of the three titles in LLR’s subscription has also been enabled in SFX (the Find it @ NTU service). At present, the UK Press Online service does not support deep-linking to the article level, so SFX links resolve to the native interface of UK Press Online rather than to the individual article or the ‘homepage’ of the individual journal.
