Proquest maintenance window: Sunday 18 February
Between 3am and 3pm on Sunday 18 February, work on the Proquest server group will mean that the ABI-INFORM Global database (currently on trial access) will be unavailable.
New resource trial: ABI-INFORM Global
Trial access to the business database ABI-INFORM Global has been established in eSearch > eResource trials > Active trials. Access is direct on-campus; with no off-campus access available for the duration of the trial. The resource is described as follows:
Search nearly 1800 worldwide business periodicals for in-depth coverage of business and economic conditions, management techniques, theory, and practice of business, advertising, marketing, economics, human resources, finance, taxation, computers, and more.
ABI-INFORM Global can be searched remotely from eSearch, but this functionality has not been enabled during the trial. Outbound OpenURL integration with SFX has been switched on for those resources not held in full-text in ABI-INFORM Global. Click on the Find a copy link in the results list to bring up a full record (see illustration below).
From the full record display, click on either the SFX button or the Check SFX for Availability link to call up an SFX menu of resource relevant services (see illustration below).
The trial lasts until 2 March, and all feedback should be sent to Andrew Kernot.
