ClinicalSkills.net – scheduled maintenance on 1 April 2024
Due to some website updates, the Clinicalskills.net platform will be temporarily unavailable for about one hour from 6.30 am on 1 April (Easter Monday).
VLeBooks unavailable – scheduled maintenance on 6-7 April 2024
Browns Books has advised that the VLeBooks website will be unavailable from Saturday 6 April, 10pm (GMT) to Sunday 7 April, 4am (GMT) due to planned maintenance. Please note this will affect the VLe Reader which provides access to several eBooks in our library collections.
VLeBooks – scheduled maintenance on 2-3 March 2024
Browns Books is advising that maintenance and upgrades of its VLeBooks platform will be taking place on the weekend of 2nd & 3rd March 2024, affecting the availability of the VLe Reader during these two days.
Resolved – Kortext platform loading issues
The previously reported issue have been resolved, and the Kortext reader is now working properly.
Resolved – Kogan Page books temporarily unavailable
The previously reported issue has now been resolved and our CIPD Kogan Page books are once again accessible online via Library OneSearch and resource lists.
Kortext platform loading issues
We are currently experiencing some issues with loading titles on the Kortext web browser. You may see the following error message when trying to read a book on screen:
Thank you for your patience while the supplier is working on a fix.
The Kortext app should load books as normal and can be used in the meantime. The app is downloadable from the Account dropdown menu on the top right corner. When prompted to log in, use your NTU email address and you will be redirected to the institutional sign-on page.
Kogan Page books temporarily unavailable
We are currently experiencing a loss of access for several of our CIPD Kogan Page books, with links returning the following error message: ‘Connection refused by ebs-patron.eb20.com, please try again later’.

Box of Broadcasts – scheduled maintenance – Wednesday 14 February 2024
A scheduled system maintenance period for the Box of Broadcasts (BoB) platform will begin Wednesday 14 February 2024 at 13:00.
The provider advises that the service should be considered ‘at risk’ during this time.
Resolved – access issues for Rock’s Backpages
The recent authentication issues for Rock’s Backpages have now been fixed by the databased provider.
Access is available both on and off-campus using the University username and password.
Library Bookings page is available again
Following the security warnings issues at the end of last week (1 – 2 Feb 2024) the library bookings pages appear to be working again.
Should you experience any similar warning page please report this to the library.
Library Bookings page is currently unavailable
We are currently experiencing issues when trying to access the librarybookings.ntu.ac.uk site using Chrome and Edge. Access to the site is blocked and a security warning appears.
Use of the Firefox browser appears to be okay.
We are working with the provider and our digital technologies team to try and resolve this as soon as possible.
