Technical issues which rendered the Zetoc service inaccessible earlier this week have now been resolved by the Zetoc server team, and Zetoc is available once again.
Access remains direct on-campus and by university username and password from off-campus.
Service problems on the mimas.ac.uk domain mean that access to the following services may be currently unavailable, or only intermittently available:
- Census Dissemination Unit
Access to the Web of Knowledge service was briefly interrupted earlier today, but has now been re-instated. A further update will be provided once MIMAS has confirmed that the service problems have been resolved.
Off-campus access to the Zetoc abstracting service has been moved from Athens to Shibboleth authentication in both eSearch and SFX. Athens based access to the service will be withdrawn by EDINA on 31 July 2008. More detailed information, along with an illustrated walkthrough has been added to the relevant section of the eServices support wiki.
The MIMAS service has been able to identify and correct the cause of a technical problem which was resulting in remote searches of Zetoc being rejected. The remote search configuration had been temporarily disabled in eSearch while this problem was resolved, but has now been re-enabled.
