We are currently investigating an issue affecting off campus access to New Left Review. Only some of the content is available from off site. On campus access remains unaffected.
Box of Broadcasts – scheduled maintenance – 31 August 2018
A scheduled system maintenance period for the Box of Broadcasts platform will begin Friday 31 August 2018 between 12:00 and 16:00. The provider advises that the service should be considered ‘at risk’ during these times.
Box of Broadcasts – scheduled maintenance -7 August 2018
The Box of Broadcasts (BoB) streaming off-air recording service has announced another maintenance period for 7 August 2018. The service should be considered ‘at risk’ between 14:00 and 17:30 on that date.
Issues affecting the Kanopy streaming video service now resolved
The library in cooperation with technical services team at Kanopy have now resolved the service issue affecting logging into the resource.
Access is now available from on and off campus using your NTU credentials.
Issues affecting the Kanopy streaming video service
The library is working with the technical team at the Kanopy streaming video platform to reinstate access to the service, which is currently unavailable on and off campus.
A further update will follow once the issue has been resolved.
ProQuest platform – scheduled maintenance – 18 August 2018
A routine maintenance period on the ProQuest platform is scheduled for Saturday 18 August 2018, between 15:00 and 23:00 (UK time). This means that the following ProQuest databases, eBook platforms and services, to which the library subscribes, may be unavailable throughout this eight hour period:

A scheduled maintenance period for the Box of Broadcasts platform is due on Thursday 19 May 2018 between 07:00 and 09:00. The provider advises that the service may be at risk during these times.
Off-campus to the Gale Cengage platform restored
The problem preventing off-campus access to subscription databases on the Gale-Cengage platform (reported on 15 June) has now been resolved by the Gale-Cengage technical team.
Off-campus access is now available once again, with authentication by university username and password.
The databases accessible off-site once again are:

- British Library Newspapers
- 19th Century UK Periodicals
- 17th and 18th Century Burney Collection
- The Times Digital Archive
Off-campus access to the Gale Cengage platform unavailable
The library is working with the technical team at Gale Cengage to reinstate off-campus access to the databases on the Gale Cengage platform. On-campus access is working normally, but, at present, off-campus access requests, authenticated by university username and password, are failing to complete successfully. A further update will follow once on-campus access has been restored. Affected databases include:
