LION (Literature Online) – direct links to Oxford Reference Shelf
From a search result set in the LION service, it is now possible to link directly to relevant related entries in the Oxford Reference online collection (see sample illustration below). Examples of such entries would be directory and biographical listings for authors, or definitions and explanations of terms.

As LLR’s OUP Reference subscription is to the ‘premium’ collection, NTU customers will have rights to access (either by IP or Athens authentication) the large majority of OUP reference materials. However, there may be instances (such as with the Literature Collection – see illustration below) where such material is not included in NTU’s subscription profile.

OUP Journals online – Athens issues resolved
An account configuration problem, which was preventing NTU Athens authentication requests from being processed by Oxford University Press Journals Online, has now been resolved, and off-campus requests for the full-text of subscribed OUP titles are now being accepted normally.
ejournal and eBook records to be added to ‘live’ ALEPH this week
During the course of this week, changes will be made to ‘live’ ALEPH to enable ejournal and eBooks to be made discoverable through the OPAC. There may be some very short interruptions in the OPAC service (lasting only a few seconds) while these changes are enacted. Initially, changes to the look of the OPAC record display (identical to those trialled in ‘test’ ALEPH) will be replicated in ‘live’ ALEPH, and eBook and ejournal records will then be loaded and indexed.
All SFX delivered ejournals and eBrary eBook records should be available through the ‘live’ OPAC by the end of the week, with records for Taylor & Francis, Knovel and other eBook providers available shortly after. Updates will be provided as the process progresses.
Access to Oxford University Press ejournals
OUP have reported that they are experiencing problems with full-text access to some of their ejournal titles. Selective testing has not identified any issues with sample titles from our subscription profile, but please advise eServices is you encounter any difficulties with OUP titles online.
