THE ARTSTOR DIGITAL Library, which provides access to high-quality images across a range of disciplines rights-cleared for use in education and research, is now available through a full active subscription via the Find Databases service.
The Artstor service was previously provided as one of the library’s temporary additional electronic resources. That temporary availability concluded on 30 June 2021, at which point the new subscription became active.
Access to the Artstor Digital Library is by university username and password.
THE ON-CAMPUS AND off-campus access URLs for WGSN (World Global Style Network) have been updated in the resource’s Find Databases listing, to align with the company’s latest ‘best practice’ guidance.
A new Registration Guide (May 2021) has also been made available through the Find Databases listing, which updates guidance on how to create a new WGSN account and how to reactivate an existing account.
The library is discussing with the WGSN technical team and with Digital Technologies the options for migrating authentication for the WGSN service over to the NTU Single Sign On service. Further updates will follow on this potential development as those discussions progress.
THE TECHNICAL PROBLEMS preventing authenticated access to the Mintel platform reported earlier this morning have now been resolved.
Authenticated access to the service is now available once more, from both on-campus and off-campus, through the Find Databases listing for the resource.
ACCESS TO THE Project MUSE platform has been enabled in the Find Databases service, following the activation of a new subscription to the full-text service.
Access to the ejournal and eBook content provided by Project MUSE is by university username and password.
The resource is described as follows:
Project Muse brings together access to the full-text of more than 700 academic and scholarly journals in the fields of humanities and social sciences from more than 120 different publishers including university presses and learned societies. Access is also provided to a diverse collection of Open Access books and monographs. Materials can be viewed online or downloaded for offline reading.
Access to the 700+ ejournal titles available through Project Muse has also been activated in the SFX (Find It @ NTU) service.
Materials from Project Muse will be discoverable in searches in Library OneSearch and Library OneSearch Pro shortly.
ACCESS TO THE library of music journalism provided by the Rock’s Backpages platform has been enabled in the library’s Find Databases service following the activation of a new subscription to the resource.
Access to Rock’s Backpages is by university username and password (both on-campus and off-campus) with a direct deep-link provided through the Find Databases listing.
The resource is described as follows:
Bringing together an archive of more than 40,000 examples of music journalism by more than 700 writers, Rock’s Backpages draws on numerous publications from Creem and Trouser Press to Rolling Stone, and from New Musical Express and Melody Maker to MOJO. The archive covers all genres of popular music from the 1950s to the present day. The collection is fully searchable by artist, genre, writer or keyword. Rock’s Backpages also features a library of over 600 audio interviews with artists and performers of all eras and styles.
There are no changes to the way that students access and make use of lists, but guidance for library teams and for list editing academics may need to be updated to take account of the final withdrawal of this earlier version functionality.
A NUMBER OF ProQuest services will be unavailable during a planned maintenance period beginning at 03:00 and ending by 11:00 on Saturday 30 January.

ACCESS TO THE Artstor digital image library is now available through the Find Databases service.
Students and staff can login to the resource using their university username and password and will then need to register an individual Artstor account.

The Artstor Digital Library provides access to a huge collection of high-quality, cross-disciplinary images. These images have been rights-cleared for use in education and research – allowing them to be included in teaching materials, student assignments and other noncommercial educational and scholarly activities. Images can be scrutinised in detail using the built-in viewer; downloaded individually and in groups; and organised into personal collections for future reference. Amongst the large number of collections brought together in Artstor are materials from: The Art Institute of Chicago, Condé Nast, the Jon Schueler Estate, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Yale Center for British Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
