Bloomsbury Design Library gives comprehensive global coverage of the history, theory and practice of crafts and design, from prehistoric times to the present day.
Bloomsbury Applied Visual Arts combines visual inspiration with practical advice on everything from idea generation and research techniques to portfolio development – making this the ultimate guide to a visual arts education.
The Animation Practice collection offers a comprehensive selection of 53 high-quality, practice-focused books from the CRC Press imprint and Routledge.

The Bloomsbury Fashion Central resource has re-launched today on a brand new platform.
On and off campus access to the new platform remains unchanged, and links are available from the Find Databases page. All previously saved or bookmarked links to items will automatically redirect, and there is the option to create a new personal account and add them there.
The upgraded resource is described as follows:
Bloomsbury Fashion Central is a digital hub for interdisciplinary research in fashion and dress. It includes major reference works, articles, eBooks, video content, runway and backstage photos from fashion shows, and tens of thousands of images from museums around the world. There are three resources to explore:
The Berg Fashion Library contains over 100 eBooks, more than 13,000 colour images and other reference works.
This is complemented by the Fairchild Books Library, which includes another 150 eBooks on all aspects of fashion.
Finally, the Fashion Photography Archive covers forty years of contemporary fashion history and contains over 750,000 images.
ACCESS TO THE O’Reilly for Higher Education collection is now available through a new listing for the resource in the Find Databases service.
Authenticated access to the materials on the platform is by university username and password.

With a focus on programming and development, the O’Reilly for Higher Education platform provides access to more than 44,000 full-text eBooks and more than 30,000 hours of instructional video. Topics range from programming in a wide variety of languages, to IT networking to project management to graphic design and business strategy. The content includes code snippets, certification preparation materials, expert-curated learning paths and self-assessments exercises. Materials are drawn from more than 250 technology and business publishers.
Individual discovery records for the eBook and multimedia content on the O’Reilly platform will be made available in Library OneSearch and Library OneSearch Pro shortly.

A NEW COLLECTION of electronic textbooks accessible through the Kortext platform is now discoverable through Library OneSearch and Library OneSearch Pro.
The collection brings together textbook publications produced by a range of different publishers, including titles that have been identified as Core resources on resource lists.
Until now, it has not been possible for the library to provide access to electronic versions of these key resources.
Authenticated access to the full-text of all 53 titles in the collection is by university username and password.
LLR HAS LAUNCHED an initial one-year pilot of SAGE Catalyst: a teaching and learning engagement software tool powered by Talis Elevate, which contains a ‘fully loaded collection of recent and premium social science electronic textbooks from SAGE.’
Agreeing to this pilot has enabled LLR to make available for the first time, online versions of over 70 core Resource List titles, that were previously only available in print.
Sage Catalyst contains the latest editions of over 500 premium, cross-disciplinary textbooks from across the social sciences, in subjects such as:

Nursing (40+ titles)
Psychology (30+ titles)
Counselling & Psychotherapy (40+ titles)

Access to all electronic textbooks in the collection are available, in unlimited simultanteous use, to all NTU students and staff members. Content is made available through the Talis Elevate platform and authentication is by university username and password.
Talis Elevate is a new teaching and learning environment that enables student and faculty collaboration ‘within’ the textbook content. Talis Elevate can be integrated in to the VLE to provide students with their required reading in a form that is easily accessible, encourages collaboration and offers advanced analytics on student engagement to academics.
The result is a more active learning experience for students and stronger teaching support for the lecturer.
SAGE Catalyst further enables the instructor to add open educational resources, as well as other licensed institutional content so the package can be enhanced by the instructor, with no content modifications required.
