AS PART OF the rollout of the new hosted eZproxy service, off-campus access to the ISURV platform has been re-enabled. Off-campus access is once again available by university username and password, with on-campus access continuing to be direct.
Off-campus registration to WGSN re-enabled
AS PART OF the rollout of the new hosted eZproxy service, the ability to register a new (and re-activate an inactive) WGSN account from off-campus has been re-enabled – as long as the student authenticates via the Library OneSearch link. Library colleagues will no longer need to mediate the creation or reactivation of WGSN accounts for students who are off-campus.
An updated guide to creating a WGSN account, and guide to managing an existing WGSN account, have also been made available through the listing of the resource in the Find Databases service of Library OneSearch.
Off-campus access to BCIS restored
Problems accessing Lexis Nexis Professinonal

Currently we are experiencing problems with accessing content from Lexis Nexis Professional from both on and off campus.
The issue is currently under investigation
Elsevier Science Direct – some sign in issues for off campus users
Elsevier are currently investigating an issue with sign in for off campus access.
After arriving at an article page if you choose the purchase pdf option and then sign in via your institution, after selecting Nottingham Trent University login and completing NTU single sign in, you are presented with a 404 error page.

Until this is resolved off campus users should select the sign in option to the top right of the screen, as this ‘sign in via your institution’ route works ok.

Problems with accessing library One Search

Currently we are having problems with NTU library one search, the issues are under investigation
Box of Broadcasts (BoB) ‘at risk’ this morning
The streaming video service Box of Broadcasts (BoB) has just announced that they will be carrying out some unscheduled maintenance work this morning (Friday 2 March) and that the service should be considered ‘at risk’ until 12:30.
UPDATE, 13:30: The maintenance period has overrun, but BoB indicate that services should be fully restored shortly.
UPDATE, 16:00: The maintenance period has now concluded and BoB services are accessible once more.
The issues with accessing content from EBSCOhost have been resolved

The issues affecting access to content from EBSCOhost, from both on-campus and off-campus, have been resolved.
Oxford Handbooks Online e-books- unable to download chapters – resolved
Oxford University Press have now resolved the issue of certain chapters from their e-books not downloading.
The PDF generator was timing out before delivering the pdf which resulted in the error message.

e-Duke Journals Scholarly Expanded Collection – off campus access issues
There is still currently an off campus sign-in problem for Highwire Press e-Duke Journals Scholarly Expanded Collection.
The technical team at Duke University Press have now restored Nottingham Trent University to the UK Access institution list, however choosing this option and signing in reloads the journals home page rather than the article page.
Once the original article is rediscovered full text access is enabled.
The technical team at Duke University Press are still investigating this issue.
**Update 15 June 2018 – sign in issues now fully resolved. After a successful sign in the article page is returned with full text access.**

Oxford Handbooks Online e-books- unable to download chapters
The ability to view pdf versions of chapters from our Oxford Handbook Online e-books is currently not working. When choosing this option a failed to open pdf message appears on screen. The e-books can still be read on screen.
Oxford University Press are investigating the cause.
