ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS FOR the twelve titles that the library subscribes to on the i-law platform have been updated in Library OneSearch and Library OneSearch Pro.
Now individual account registration is required on the i-law platform, based on an NTU staff or student email address.
A new library guide (linked to from all twelve subscribed i-law titles available through Library OneSearch) provides an illustrated walkthrough of the account registration process.
FOLLOWING AN AUDIT of the free-to-access resources in the Find Databases service recently completed by the Serials team, several entries have been updated or withdrawn.

Marx and Engels’ Writings > Marx Engels Archive
The Marx and Engels’ Writings site is no longer active and is now only available as a snapshot in the index of the Internet Archive. The resource has therefore been replaced by the Marx Engels Archive which provides much of the same searchable full-text material.
NDAD (National Digital Archive of Datasets)
Both on-campus and off-campus access URLs of the Find Database listing for this resource have been updated to reflect the fact that the NDAD has now been incorporated in the main National Archives platform.
Supreme Court Applications
The on-campus and off-campus access URLs of the Find Databases listing for this resource have been updated following a reorganisation of the (UK) Supreme Court web site.
THE FIND DATABASES entry for the United Nations Documentation Centre has been updated to take account of a reorganisation of this part of the UN web site.
The on-campus and off-campus links of the Find Databases entry now resolve to the new landing page of the documentation centre. Access remains unrestricted.
THE ENTRY FOR the World Health Organisation’s Statistical Information System (WHOSIS) has been updated in the Find Databases service.
Data held in the now retired WHOSIS has been incorporated into the WHO’s Global Health Observatory (GHO) platform.
The Find Databases entry for the resource now points to the new location for the combined statistics portal, and has been renamed ‘Global Health Observatory (incorporating WHOSIS)’.
THE LISTING FOR the Zetoc abstract, indexing and table of contents service, has been withdrawn from the library’s Find Databases list following JISC’s retirement of the platform.
Zetoc was amongst the first online databases that the library enabled access to shortly after its launch in September 2000. Zetoc was also one of the first integrations to be bundled into the library’s then-new SFX OpenURL resolver service in 2004.
The WildPro online service has been withdrawn from the Find Databases service.
This freely-accessible, non-subscription directory was previously managed by the Wildlife Information Network based in London, but is no longer available.
LEXIS+ UK AND NEXIS are new platforms that have replaced Lexis Library and Nexis UK.
Updated listings for Lexis+ UK and Nexis are available from the Find Databases service.
Authenticated access to the resources is by university username and password from both on and off campus.
Over 4,700 individual titles from both resources are now discoverable on Library OneSearch including a wide range of books and journals, legal commentary and a selection of UK newspapers.
A guide is available explaining how to migrate saved data including alerts, saved searches and bookshelf sources from Lexis Library to the new Lexis+ UK platform. This guide will be available until the end of November 2022.
