THE TECHNICAL PROBLEMS preventing authenticated access to the Mintel platform reported earlier this morning have now been resolved.
Authenticated access to the service is now available once more, from both on-campus and off-campus, through the Find Databases listing for the resource.

THE LIBRARY IS working with the technical team at Mintel to re-establish authenticated access to the platform, which is currently unavailable.
Attempts to log in to the service result either in further authentication challenges or an on-screen error message.
A notification, alerting students and staff to the issue, has been added to the Mintel listing in the Find Databases service.
A further update will follow once access is confirmed as restored.
ACCESS TO THE Mintel market research platform for NTU staff and students has today been migrated to the new Mintel platform.
Access remains direct on-campus and by university username and password from off-campus.
Access URLs have been updated in the Find Databases listing for Mintel; but links to the legacy platform should automatically redirect.
Further to the problems preventing access to the Mintel platform reported earlier this week, access to Mintel is available once more. Access remains direct on-campus and by university username and password from off-campus.

The library is awaiting a response from the Mintel technical team following a loss of access to the Mintel market research database platform through Library OneSearch.
Requests to the Mintel platform are currently returning a DNS error. A further update will follow once access to the service has been reestablished.

Problems affecting the off-campus login to the Mintel service, and on-campus and off-campus login to the British Universities Film & Video Council’s (BUFVC) online service yesterday have been resolved.
Customers logging in with their university username and password were being resolved to an error page. Login requests to both services are again being processed normally.
A guide to logging in to Mintel using Shibboleth will be added to the eServices Support wiki shortly. Links in eSearch have been updated to direct customers to the Shibboleth login screen. Access to Mintel remains direct on-campus and is now by university username and password from off-campus.
