The MyiLibrary technical team report that the issues affecting access to eBook content on the MyiLibrary platform reported yesterday have now been resolved. Access to all acquired eBook content on the platform should now be available again for NTU staff and students, on and off campus.

Widely reported service problems are currently affecting access to content on the MyiLibrary eBook platform. A range of different errors, slow response times and failures to deliver content are all cited. MyiLibrary’s technical team is aware of the issues and is working to restore the platform to normal service.
A further update will follow once the current issues are confirmed as resolved.


Following a detailed review by the Research Support and Learning and Teaching teams, a number of changes have been made to the list of resources made available through the Find Databases service of Library OneSearch (which will also be reflected, later today, in searches in the ‘All’ search tab of LOS). The changes are detailed below:

A technical issue affecting the MyiLibrary eBook platform, which arose at the end last week, has now been resolved. WAYFLess URLs in eBook records in Library OneSearch were resolving to the MyiLibrary homepage rather than to the indivIdual requested eBook. Resolution to title level has been reinstated and requests are now resolving as intended.
Problems affecting the MyiLibrary Shibboleth authentication service, which began over the weekend (19-20 December), were resolved on Monday 21 December. During the interruption in service, customers logging in to MyiLibrary eBook titles using their university username and password saw the following error message:
“Unauthorized Identity Provider
The identity provider supplying your login credentials is not authorized for use with this service.”
